PANO - The Khanh Hoa provincial Border Guards Command on August 19th kicked off the 2015 unarmed martial arts festival.

A competition at the opening ceremony.

Ninety-eight participating athletes, divided into 14 teams, will compete in three categories of hand-to-hand combat technique, foot-fighting technique, and technique for additional exercises.

Addressing the opening ceremony, Colonel Hoang Tiet Kiem, Deputy Head and Chief-of-Staff of the command stressed that the festival will provide the troops with unarmed martial arts' knowledge and skills, contributing to raising their training quality and combat readiness in the time to come.

The festival will last till August 22nd.
