Volunteers of the University of Finance – Marketing visiting and sending Tet greetings to troops in Thieng Lieng Border Station

Accordingly, in Thanh An commune island, Can Gio district, volunteers of the campaign, led by officials of the University of Finance and Marketing, visited and presented Tet (lunar New Year) gifts to the municipal Border Guard Command’s Thanh An and Thieng Lieng border stations.

On the occasion, the delegation also extended Tet greetings to the border stations of Dong Hoa, Ly Nhon, Can Thanh and troops on duty on two border ships of Ho Chi Minh City Border Guard’s Flotilla 2. Via the activities, the volunteers  understood the border stations’ activities and missions.

Presenting Tet gifts to children orphaned by COVID-19

In the framework of the program, similar activities were held in areas where border guards are on-duty along the city’s ports such as hosting exchanges and extending Tet greetings in the border stations of Nha Rong, Khanh Hoi, Hiep Phuoc, Phu My. The activities contributed to deepening military-civilian ties ahead of the lunar New Year.

In addition, they also conducted social security activities, presented over 9,500 gifts to needy people and workers, and COVID-19-hit students, totaling nearly VND 4 billion.

In the afternoon of the same day, 1,000 Tet gifts were handed over to students who will celebrate Tet away from home and poor students due to COVID-19 impacts.
