Armored Corps hands over five comradeship and great unity houses
PANO - From November 4 to 6, the Armored Corps in collaboration with local authorities, inaugurated and handed over five comradeship and great unity houses in the provinces of Nghe An, Thanh Hoa and Vinh Phuc.
Accordingly, two comrade houses were handed over to Non-commissioned Major Nguyen Van Sam, Head of Tank T54, Company 2, Battalion 66, Armored Brigade 202, and Non-commissioned Major Tieu Thi Thanh Tra from the Armored Technical School.

The recipients of great unity houses were Tran Thi Toan from hamlet 4, Quynh Tam commune; Phan Thi Nhu from Hamlet 3, Tan Son commune, Quynh Luu district and Lo Van Toan from Gay hamlet, Nghia Lac commune, Nghia Dan district. Their families are Catholic, ethnic minorities, and poor households residing in Nghe An province.
After five months of construction, the houses have been completed on schedule, with good quality. Notably, the Armored Corps has contributed VND 50 million for each of the three great unity houses and VND 80 million for each comrade house. The remaining funds have been taken from the households’ own savings and localities’ support funds.
At the inauguration and handover ceremony, leaders of the units at all levels and local authorities presented the families with many valuable essential gifts.

These houses are part of a total of 15 great unity and comrade houses that the Armored Corps will hand over to troops’ families and disadvantaged households in 2024. This meaningful activity also aimed to observe the 65th anniversary of foundation day of the Armored Corps, the 80th anniversary of the foundation day of the Vietnam People’s Army, and the 35th anniversary of the Whole-People Defense Festive Day.
