The event was attended by Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Nghia, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, and Major General Tran Van Ba, Deputy Director of the Department of Military Training under the General Staff.
According to a report by the leader of the Department of Military Training, by August 7, 182 personnel of the VPA's delegations participating in the Army Games 2020 were present at the Mieu Mon National Training Center and received COVID-19 testing.

At the conference, the teams' leaders reported the results of their preparations for the games, which is scheduled for August 9.
Concluding the conference, Gen. Nghia praised the coordination between the units in the army and asked the teams to continue making preparations before leaving for the Army Games 2020, as well as ensure absolute safety for both personnel and equipment.
He also noted that all members of the teams should closely coordinate with one another and maintain good health to gain the best results at the games.
The same day, the Department of Military Medicine under the General Department of Logistics held a ceremony to hand over medical supplies to the VPA's delegations participating in the Army Games 2020. The supplies included protective medical clothing, medical face masks, medical gloves, and infrared thermometers. The medical supplies aim to protect the participating Vietnamese personnel from COVID-19.
