Vietnamese, Indian military youths join exchange program
PANO - Young officers of the Vietnam People’s Army and the Indian Armed Forces took part in their eighth exchange program on February 10 in Hanoi.

Addressing the event, Colonel Nguyen Duc Cuong, Deputy Head of the Military Youth Board, affirmed that the program contributed to consolidating and promoting the bilateral solidarity and strategic partnership.
Moreover, this was an occasion to further strengthen mutual trust and understanding and promote cooperation between the two militaries in general, and military youths in particular, Colonel Cuong added.
The host also said that he expects that the two sides will embrace contents related to the Vietnam - India Joint Vision Statement on Defense Cooperation for the 2015-2020 period and memorandums of understanding between the two defense ministries.
In addition, the military youths should boost exchanges and share experience in military operations, he concluded.
For his part, Captain Prabhat Mishsa, head of the Indian military youth delegation, expressed his hope to further cooperate with Vietnamese military youths for mutual development, contributing to the bilateral cooperation in the time to come.
On this occasion, the Indian delegation visited President Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, the Vietnam Military History Museum, and some military units.
