The Lao delegation was led by Lieutenant Colonel Xaysana Thammasone, Deputy Director of the Trade Union of the Lao People’s Army.

According to Vu Quoc Hong, Deputy Head of the Department of Political Affairs and Organization under the Governmental Cryptography Committee, over the past years, under the leadership and direction of party committees, leaders, political agencies at all levels and efforts of laborers, the trade union work of the Cryptography Committee has been effectively carried out, achieving positive results and completing all set targets.

Hong also affirmed the practical significance of the seminar, saying that it would contribute to consolidating and strengthening the fine relationship between trade unions, militaries, and the special friendship of the two countries. 

On behalf of the Lao delegation, Lieutenant Colonel Xaysana Thammasone thanked the Cryptography Committee for the warm and thoughtful welcome. During the seminar, Colonel Xaysana Thammasone briefed participants on the situation and outcomes of trade union activities of the Lao People’s Army and affirmed that the delegation would collect all valuable experience in carrying out trade union activities shared by the Cryptography Committee at the seminar.

An overview of the event

At the event, the two sides also discussed and exchanged effective models and experience in carrying out the work, thus helping them better fulfill missions in the future. 

Within the framework of the program, delegates visited outstanding projects and models carried out by the trade union of a center under the Cryptography Committee.
