Vietnam’s naval sailing vessel to visit China, the Philippines, and Brunei
PANO – The Vietnam People’s Navy on March 27 assigned sailing Ship 286 – Le Quy Don, led by Senior Colonel Phan Van Van, Deputy Director of the Vietnam Naval Academy, to a field training session at sea for senior students of the academy and to conducting exchanges with the navies of China, the Philippines and Brunei.

The activity aims to implement the direction of Vietnam’s Central Military Commission and Ministry of National Defense in international integration and defense external relations; enhance friendship, cooperation, mutual understanding and trust between the Vietnam People's Navy and the navies of China, the Philippines and Brunei, for peace, stability and development in the region. The event is also in reply to the visits of the three countries’ naval ships to Vietnam in recent years.
This is an occasion for the on board senior students of the Naval Academy to practice long-distance training at sea, improve their leadership and handle real situations.
