Vietnam-Cambodia Border Friendship Exchange reviewed
PANO – The Vietnam Border Guard Command held a meeting on September 6 to review the Vietnam-Cambodia Border Friendship Exchange 2019, which took place in Chau Doc city of the Southern province of An Giang on August 27 and 28.

Delegates evaluated that the exchange concluded successfully and the positive outcomes came from timely direction from the Ministry of National Defense and the thorough preparations and active coordination among relevant agencies of the ministry and An Giang province as well as relevant agencies of the Vietnam Border Guard Command and the Royal Cambodian Army.
During the exchange, the two sides co-held various activities, including a cultural exchange, talks, a conference and an exercise. The highlight of the event was a joint anti-drug trafficking drill between Vietnam’s An Giang Provincial Border Guard Command and An Giang provincial Police Department and the police and military forces of Cambodian Takeo and Kandal provinces.
The conference affirmed that the success of the event contributed to strengthening the solidarity and friendship between Vietnam and Cambodia. In the coming time, the border protection forces of the two countries will continue to be the main contributors to the fine relations between the two peoples.
On the occasion, the Vietnam Border Guard Command presented certificates of merit to more than 100 military and civilian groups and individuals with active contributions to the success of the Vietnam-Cambodia Border Friendship Exchange.
