U.S. Defense Secretary to visit Vietnam

The U.S. defense secretary will visit Vietnam at the invitation of Vietnamese Defense Minister General Phan Van Giang.

The visit of the U.S. top defense official is expected to contribute to strengthening friendship and mutual trust between the people and militaries of the two countries.

The visit also aims to accelerate the implementation of cooperation contents reached by the two defense ministries as well as agreements inked by the two countries’ senior leaders, contributing to enhancing the Vietnam-U.S. comprehensive partnership.
