Training cooperation contributes to developing Vietnam-India defense ties
PANO - Senior Lieutenant General Pham Ngoc Minh highlighted, while receiving a delegation from the Indian National Defense University (NDU), cadre-training as one of the effective approaches to bolstering the comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and India.
Gen. Minh, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army, hosted a reception for a visiting Indian delegation, led by Indian Major General Anil Dere, on May 29 at the Ministry of National Defense’s Headquarters.

Gen. Minh hailed the delegation’s fact-finding trip to Vietnam and confirmed that the Vietnamese leadership of the Ministry of National Defense and the General Staff supports more exchange and experience sharing between the two nations’ academies, schools and research organizations.
He also hoped that during the visit, the guests will learn more about the country, its people, army as well as its external affairs and defense policies, contributing to enhancing mutual understanding and trust between the militaries and people of the two countries.
For his part, General Dere thanked the host for a warm reception and emphasized new positive developments in India-Vietnam bilateral defense ties.
The Indian general added that the Indian NDU continues strengthening its cooperation, information and experience sharing with Vietnam in the fields of mutual concern.
