In his opening speech, PAN’s Editor-in-Chief Major General Doan Xuan Bo provided an overview of the history, traditions, duties, and development orientations of the Vietnamese military newspaper.

Major General Doan Xuan Bo hoped that during their participation in the training course, the Lao People's Army Newspaper officers would not only acquire knowledge about journalism but also feel the sentiment of PAN journalists.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Lieutenant Colonel Khonesanvanh Xayalath, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the Lao People's Army Newspaper, stated that in recent years, the Lao People's Revolutionary Party and Lao State have always paid attention to the growth and development of the press agencies. The Lao People's Army Newspaper has placed much focus on comprehensive development, especially in building a team of competent journalists capable of successfully completing all tasks, thanks to the significant support and contribution from the People's Army Newspaper of Vietnam.

This training course takes place in preparations for celebrating the 75th anniversary of the establishment of the Laos People's Army (1949 - 2024) and the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam People's Army (1944 - 2024). It provides an opportunity for the officers of the Lao People's Army Newspaper to absorb valuable lessons and experiences from the People's Army Newspaper of Vietnam, which they can apply effectively during their missions.
