MND leader participates in CHOD-20
PANO - A high-ranking military delegation of the Vietnam People’s Army, led by Senior Lieutenant General Phan Van Giang, member of the Party Central Committee, permanent member of the Central Military Commission, Chief of the General Staff and Deputy Defense Minister, is taking part in the on-going 20th Asia-Pacific Chiefs of Defense (CHOD) Conference (CHOD-20), from September 4 to 9 in Canada.

The Vietnamese delegation’s participation in CHOD-20 is at the invitation of Admiral Harry B. Harris, Commander of the US Pacific Command and General Jonathan H. Vance, Chief of the Defense Staff of the Canadian Armed Forces.
The engagement of the Vietnamese military delegation in the event is the confirmation of the role and status of Vietnam in the region and the world via a number of activities in the framework of multilateral forums on military and defense activities, contributing to reaffirming the country’s policy of diversification and multilateralization of international relations and its policy of action, pro-activeness and responsibility in the international integration.
