In his welcome remarks, Major General Tran Van Luong expressed his pleasure at hosting the Lao delegation. He emphasized that Coast Guard Region 4’s leadership viewed the visit as vivid evidence of the traditional friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, States, and militaries. Sharing experience in national defense financial management will contribute to effective budget usage and ensure solid support for each side’s political missions in the new context, he added.

Speaking at the meeting, Major General Bounthong Butthavong thanked the Vietnam Coast Guard, especially the Coast Guard Region 4 Command, for their respectful and fraternal reception. He stated that the Laos’ Department of Finance highly appreciated the remarkable development of the Vietnam Coast Guard in all aspects, especially in financial management. Through this working visit, the Lao Department of Finance hoped to learn valuable and practical experience to help them improve the financial management mechanism in the Lao People’s Army, he stressed.
