Lao military delegation extends Tet greetings to Vietnamese military unit
PANO - A delegation of the Huaphanh provincial Military Command of the Lao People's Democratic Republic led by Lieutenant Colonel PhanSi-Sone Me Xay, Deputy-Political Commissar and Director of Politics of the Lao unit, on January 24 visited and extended Tet greetings to the Nghe An provincial Military Command.
On behalf of the delegation, the Lao officer briefed the host on socio-economic development situation and the results of building armed forces of the localities. He also extended Tet greetings to officers, soldiers and people in Nghe An province on the occasion of the upcoming Vietnamese traditional New Year festival and hoped that the cooperation between the two units would be expanded in various fields.
On his part, Colonel Thai Duc Hanh, Political Commissar of the Nghe An provincial Military Command, expressed thanks for the sentiment of the Huaphanh provincial Military Command over the past years, especially its effective coordination in protecting the nation's sovereignty along the border areas, training cadres and supporting Vietnam to repatriate remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers who sacrificed themselves in wartime in Laos. He hoped that the two units would continue to strengthening the cooperation relations, exchanging information and experience in building border areas as well as maintaining social order along border areas; contributing to the fruitful relationship between the two counties.
