Establishment of the Cuban Revolutionary Armed Forces marked in Hanoi
PANO – The Cuban Embassy in Hanoi held a banquet on December 5 to mark the 63rd anniversary of the establishment of the Cuban Revolutionary Armed Forces (December 2, 1956).
Lieutenant General Nguyen Tan Cuong, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army, attended the event on behalf of the Vietnamese Defense Ministry.

Speaking at the banquet, Senior Colonel Juan Miguel Garcia Montano, Cuban military attaché to Vietnam, recalled the tradition and the resounding history of the Cuban Revolutionary Armed Forces. He stressed that the relationship between the Vietnam People’s Army and the Cuban Revolutionary Armed Forces has been greatly expanded.
In turn, General Cuong expressed his hope that under the leadership of the Communist Party of Cuba, the Cuban Revolutionary Armed Forces would make more remarkable achievements in its national construction and defense cause in the time ahead.
