Enhancing understanding and friendship with international friends
PANO - We arrived at Battalion 7 of Army Officer Candidate School No.1 just in time to witness cadet Bui Quang Linh of Company 20, Battalion 7 and his comrades urgently making up for their classes after training for participating in the military parade in celebration of the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War at the Red Square in Russia.
Linh shared that returning home after successfully completing their task of participating in the military parade in Russia, they have been racing against time to quickly catch up with their comrades. While being on parade duty, their comrades at home had already completed their subjects according to the school's plan. Therefore, regardless of weekends or breaks, they are making all-out efforts to complete the required lessons on time.

Vietnamese cadets in an exchange with other contingents |
Regarding the unforgettable memories during their time in Russia, Linh and the contingent’s members stressed that it was one of the most beautiful periods of their lives. In the evenings, after a day of hard training, Linh and his comrades engaged in cultural exchanges with foreign peers from Laos, Myanmar, China, and others. These activities, organized by the host country, contributed to enhancing mutual understanding, solidarity, and friendship among countries.
Reportedly, before the exchange with the Chinese contingent, the Vietnam People's Army contingent thoroughly studied their counterparts’ culture. Therefore, when the Chinese contingent invited them to perform a Chinese song, Linh delivered an impressive performance, receiving warm response from the participants. Meanwhile, in the cultural exchange activities, officers and cadets from the Army Officer Candidate School No.1 presented paintings featuring the One Pillar Pagoda, President Ho Chi Minh, and Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum to the foreign peers.
The performance of the VPA’s contingent on the Red Square left a strong and positive impression on the host country and other participating countries. Together with accomplishing the key political tasks, the VPA contingent’s members served as ambassadors delivering the message that Vietnam is a peace-loving country that values friendship and cooperation with foreign countries. They were also seen as bridges spreading the beauty of Vietnam's culture to international friends.
