Army Games 2021: Vietnamese competitors applauded for high resolve

General Tan commended the Vietnamese troops while leading a high-ranking military delegation to visit the “Meridian” and “Army of Culture” contingents at Alabino training ground in the outskirts of Moscow, Russia on August 27.

The deputy chief of the General Staff asked the two contingents to make thorough preparation for contests, ensure safety during competition, and strictly observe the organizers’ regulations and COVID-19 prevention and control measures while staying united and showing high responsibility to achieve the highest possible results.

Lt. Gen. Phung Si Tan and his entourage enjoy an art performance when visiting the Art and Culture Troupe of Vietnam.

He also briefed them on his previous meeting with Lenxov A.I., Advisor to the Russian Minister of Defense, during which the Russian official highly valued the first crew of the Vietnamese Tank Contingent and Vietnam’s hosting of “Emergency Area” and “Sniper Frontier” contests.

General Tan emphasized that Russian media have paid due attention to the Vietnam People’s Army contingents to the Army Games 2021 and that Vietnamese contingents’ performance in Russia received high appreciation from foreign peers.
