PM attends leaders’ round-table meeting of 2nd Belt and Road Forum
Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc attended the first session of the leaders' round-table meeting of the second Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation (BRF) in Beijing, China, on April 27.
The meeting on promoting connectivity to seek new growth drivers was chaired by Chinese President Xi Jinping.

During the event, participants focused their discussions on cooperation activities within the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).
In his opening speech, Chinese President Xi stressed that the BRI aims to connect infrastructure, as well as accelerate cooperation and smart production in key fields of the digital economy.
The second session on strengthening policy resonance and building closer partnerships, and the third on promoting green and sustainable development to realize the UN Agenda 2030 are scheduled to take place on the same day.
The second Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation will wrapped up later the day, with the issuance of a joint statement of the leaders’ round-table meeting.
