The Chevening Scholarship Programme provides Vietnamese people working in government agencies with UK post-graduate study on finance and socio-economic management, said Nguyen Van Hao, Prudential Viet Nam deputy general director.
Prudential Viet Nam has so far granted 14 scholarships to officers who have worked in the Ministries of Trade and Finance, the Viet Nam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), the Party Central Committee's Commission for External Relations, and the National Assembly Office.
Besides the Chevening Scholarship, the Global Prudential Group has supported Viet Nam-based training programmes on foreign languages, technology and sports through the Prudence Fund, which was established in Viet Nam in 2003.
The fund has spent 20 billion VND (1.25 million USD) opening many English language training courses.
