PANO - The three-day third Vietnam-China Youth Festival taking place in six provinces and cities of Vietnam closed on November 9 at the My Dinh Track and Field Palace in Hanoi.

An art exchange in praise of Vietnam’s and China’s peoples, the friendship and solidarity between the two Parties, States and youths was also organized at the palace as well.

Addressing the event, NA Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan stressed that Vietnam and China share the similar socialism ideal and are led by the Communist Party of Vietnam and the Communist Party of China. Fostered by Presidents Ho Chi Minh and Mao Zedong and generations of Vietnamese and Chinese leaders and people, the Vietnam-China friendship has been considered precious treasure of the two countries.

Ms. Ngan underscored that history of bilateral relations underwent ups and downs, friendship and cooperation has remained the main stream in the two countries’ relationship. Moreover, the two peoples have always strengthened their solidarity and supported each other in the national salvation and national construction and development cause.

The NA chief also stated that the two Parties and States of Vietnam and China have agreed to further deepen the Vietnam-China comprehensive strategic partnership in the current context.

According to Ngan, the cause of national construction and development of each country is a long-term and tough one, requiring the two nations’ youths to continue their study, practice, work and devotion for the bright future of themselves and for the happiness of people of the two countries.

“As the future leaders of each country, youths have an honor of and responsibility for continuously raising the flag of national independence and socialism, building and developing a strong country, fostering and writing new historical pages of the traditional friendly relationship between the two countries for the interests of each nation and for peace, stability, prosperity in the region and the world as a whole. We have always placed our trust and hope in you all”, said the Vietnamese NA Chairwoman.

For his part, permanent Politburo member and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress of China (NPC) Zhang Dejiang emphasized that the two countries’ practical multifaceted cooperation has developed rapidly. He affirmed that the Party and Government of China have always attached much importance to and supported the exchanges of the two countries’ youths who serve as a friendship bridge between China and Vietnam.

“The bright future of the two countries’ relationship depends on you all. Inheriting and bringing into full play the two countries’ long-lasting friendship are also on your hands”, said Zhang Dejiang.

The art exchange had closed the third Vietnam-China Youth Festival, which serves as a bridge of friendship, and is seen as an art and cultural space and a colorful festival for youths of the two neighbouring countries.

Stressing that youths are considered ambassadors of friendship, Chinese First Secretary of the Communist Youth League Central Committee Qin Yizhi said, the festival contributed to promote mutual understanding between the two countries’ youths and left a deep impression on the participants.

Impressed by the beauty of Vietnam and hospitality of Vietnamese youths, Bai Jiangyan, a member of the Yunnan youth delegation expressed her delight at visiting Sa Pa, Fansipan - the roof of Indochina and stressed that she would introduce Vietnam, its landscapes and people to her relatives and friends to encourage them to visit Vietnam at least once in their lives.

Meanwhile, Chinese delegates’ youthfulness and dynamic spirit made a deep impression on Pham Thanh Huyen, a member of the Vietnamese delegation in Lao Cai province. Huyen hoped to have more opportunities to participate in such a meaningful festival, exchange with Chinese youths and learn more experiences from them.
