Both the host and guest showed their pleasure at the cooperation between the two countries over the past time, with two-way trade exceeding USD 350 million in 2016, tripling that in 2010.
The two countries have coordinated with each other at multi-lateral mechanisms, especially the United Nations, the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) and negotiations of the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) agreement.
Stressing that Vietnam and Peru boast a lot of potential for cooperation, President Quang urged the two countries to boost their bilateral ties in a deep manner and all-level delegation exchanges in order to increase mutual understanding and development.
The two leaders also talked about regional and global issues of shared concern and consented to continue coordination at the UN, APEC, the Forum for East Asia-Latin America Cooperation (FEALAC) and other multilateral cooperation frameworks.
