Speaking at the event, Chargé d’Affaires at the embassy Steph Lysaght said that Vietnam is a potential destination for cooperation opportunities from the UK. The two countries have cooperated in the field of occupational skills education and training.
This seminar offered a chance for the UK’s leading occupational skills education and training providers to expand cooperation with Government organizations, businesses, universities and colleges in Hanoi, he stated.
Pham Vu Quoc Binh, Director of the Vietnam Vocational Training Accreditation Agency, said that the rapid development of the fourth Industrial Revolution is posing numerous challenges for Vietnam’s economy.
To have high-quality human resources, Vietnam needs to build an open and modern occupational education system.
Businesses should play a leading role in occupational education and participate in several stages such as defining training demand, increasing the quality of student-centered training, and building a quality training system.
At the seminar, UK enterprises shared their knowledge with and introduced technologies and equipment in occupational education and training to Vietnamese partners in the fields of automobile, garment and textile, construction and restaurant.
