Dung held that cooperation in education and training, labor, employment, and vocational education is a highlight in relations between the two countries.
Germany is one of Vietnam's traditional and strategic partners in the field of vocational education. The two sides have been implementing 10 projects and cooperation programs at the national and regional levels, noted the official.

Cooperation with Germany has benefited Vietnam in infrastructure improvement and human resources development, contributing to enhancing vocational training quality, he said, adding that expanding labor collaboration with Germany has provided chances for Vietnamese workers in increasing their incomes and sharpening their skills.
For her part, Baur underlined that in the context of increasing “green jobs” and the energy transition, Germany is a pioneer with a lot of experience and solutions for job transition. Therefore, Germany is also at the forefront of developing skills for green jobs, she said, adding that the German government has been cooperating with Vietnam to promote the greening of jobs and vocational training according to international standards, creating opportunities for Vietnamese workers and youngsters to prepare for the global energy transition.
Mentioning future cooperation orientations between the GIZ and the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of Vietnam, Baur suggested that the two sides continue to strengthen cooperation, including Vietnam's Vocational Training Reform Program No.3 from March 2024 to February 2027, which has received funding commitment from Germany and will be integrated into the "VETVET Program" of donors from the European Union (E.U.), the German Government, and the French Government.
She said she hopes that in the process of implementing projects and programs, the two sides will be flexible in cooperation based on legal regulations, mutual respect and trust, and shared responsibility.
Dung said that his ministry is ready to cooperate with German partners, ministries, and sectors in areas of mutual interest such as vocational education, human resources training, and sending young people and workers to work in Germany.
