Vietnam, India boost people-to-people exchange and cooperation
PANO - President of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations (VUFO) Phan Anh Son on July 23 received a visiting delegation from the Indian Society for Cultural Cooperation and Friendship (ISCUF), led by ISCUF Secretary General of Andhra Pradesh state Kagitala Raja Sekhar.
The Indian delegation is paying a working visit to Vietnam from July 22 to 25.
At the meeting, VUFO President Phan Anh Son said that Vietnam always considers India a top important partner, a trusted friend and attaches importance to developing its comprehensive strategic partnership with India.
Son stressed that VUFO and the Vietnam-India Friendship Association stay ready to cooperate with Indian partners, including ISCUF, to organize a series of activities to enhance solidarity, friendship, and people-to-people cooperation between the two countries.
For his part, Mr. Kagitala Raja Sekhar emphasized that the friendship between the two countries is a testament to the time-honored relationship of the two countries which was formed on the basis of common values, mutual respect and strategic cooperation.
During the reception, the VUFO President also updated the Indian delegation on the country’s socio-economic achievements and traditional cultures. He discussed and agreed with the ISCUF Secretary General of Andhra Pradesh state about cooperation opportunities, coordination forms to strengthen people-to-people exchanges to consolidate the friendship between the two peoples in particular and the two countries in general.
