Addressing the event, Deputy Permanent Chairman of the association Nguyen Viet Thao stressed that the Vietnamese people always stand side by side, stay united with, and strongly support the Cuban people in their cause of building and developing a country of sovereignty, independence, democracy, prosperity, and sustainability.

The Vietnamese official also highly praised Cuba’s efforts in combating the COVID-19 pandemic and developing COVID-19 vaccines.

For his part, the Cuban ambassador to Vietnam Orlando Nicolás Hernández Guillén emphasized that Cuba treasures and is grateful to Vietnam for its valuable assistance to the country over the past time.

The Cuban diplomat affirmed that he would do his utmost to foster the relationship between Cuba and Vietnam.

At the meeting, delegates discussed approaches to raise mutual understanding between the two peoples, contributing to strengthening the two nations’ friendship, solidarity and comprehensive partnership.
