Vietnam assists U.S. in overcoming natural disaster consequences
PANO - On January 5, a ceremony was organized in Hanoi to hand over 100,000 USD from the Vietnamese Government and people to bereaved relatives of tornadoes that hit Kentucky, the U.S. last December.
In his remarks, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Quoc Dung emphasized the friendship, cooperation, and mutual support between the governments and peoples of Vietnam and the U.S. in overcoming challenges, particularly amid the complicated developments of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Marie Damour, Chargé d'Affaires of the U.S. Embassy in Vietnam, welcomed the Vietnamese Government and people for their prompt assistance, expressing the hope that the positive bilateral relations, including cooperation between the two nations’ Red Cross societies, will continue to develop.
