The minister emphasized that Russia has always been a loyal and reliable friend of Vietnam. During Vietnam’s struggle for national independence and reunification, as well as its nation-building and defense efforts, the Vietnamese people received valuable support and assistance from the Soviet Union and, later, the Russian Federation. Those contributions remain deeply appreciated by the Vietnamese people.
According to Minister Hoang Minh Son, the relationship between Vietnam and Russia has been continuously nurtured and developed over the past 76 years, evolving into a comprehensive strategic partnership. Political trust has been strengthened through regular high-level exchanges, while cooperation in defense and security, energy, oil and gas, trade, investment, science and technology, education and training, culture, tourism, and people-to-people exchanges has achieved positive results.
