Politburo member receives CPC’s delegation
PANO - On October 21, at the headquarters of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV), Politburo member Nguyen Xuan Thang, who is also Chairman of the Central Theory Council and Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics (HCMA), hosted a reception for a visiting delegation from the Communist Party of China (CPC), led by Mr. Qu Qingshan, member of the CPC Central Committee and Director of the CPC Central Institute of Party History and Literature.
At the reception, Mr. Thang highly valued the meaning of the Chinese delegation's visit, which took place in the context of the flourishing Vietnam-China relations, particularly following bilateral visits made by senior leaders of the two countries. He highlighted that this visit served as a concrete step in deepening theoretical cooperation between the two Parties, in line with their high-level common perceptions.

He congratulated the Chinese delegation on the success of the 3rd plenary session of the 20th Central Committee of the CPC, noting its importance in advancing comprehensive reforms and promoting China’s modernization and development as outlined by the 20th National Congress. Mr. Nguyen Xuan Thang emphasized that these topics are also of great interest to Vietnam as it continues to draw lessons from 40 years of Doi Moi (Renovation) process.
Mr. Qu Qingshan congratulated Vietnam on the significant achievements made over the past 40 years of Doi Moi process under the leadership of the CPV and expressed confidence that Vietnam would successfully achieve the goals set by the 13th National Party Congress, as well as prepare for a successful 14th National Party Congress.
Both sides expressed their delight at the significant developments in the relationship between the two Parties and nations. They stressed the importance of 2025, which will mark the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and China. They agreed to maintain close high-level contacts, strengthen practical cooperation across spheres, promote people-to-people exchanges, and better control and resolve disagreements based on the high-level common perceptions and international law. They also consented to strengthen collaboration between their respective Party history and theoretical research institutions and jointly organize the 19th theoretical seminar between the two Parties.
* On the same day, Mr. Lai Xuan Mon, a member of the CPV Central Committee and standing deputy head of its Commission for Information and Education, met with the CPC delegation to discuss the theoretical and practical achievements of both Parties over the past time and map out orientations for future cooperation between their information and theoretical agencies.
