The minister made the appraisals at a ceremony marking the 74th anniversary of Vietnam’s August Revolution (August 19) and National Day (September 2) jointly held by the Vietnamese Embassy and community in Mozambique on August 29.
He said Mozambique commits to continuously tightening the solidarity and friendship with Vietnam.
The official called on Vietnam to further share its experience in economic development and international integration, and suggested the two countries enhance cooperation in agriculture, telecommunications and other spheres of their strength and demands.

In his remarks, Vietnamese Ambassador Le Huy Hoang reviewed Vietnam’s 74-year development, with marked achievements in economic development, ensuring national defence and security, and expanding foreign relations.
He underlined Vietnam’s participation in the United Nations peacekeeping operations in Africa, saying the country is preparing to assume the post of non-permanent member of the UN Security Council for 2020-2021 and ASEAN Chair in 2020.
The ambassador also touched upon recent developments in the East Sea and affirmed Vietnam’s efforts in cooperating with countries to settle disputes in the waters by peaceful measures, on the basis of international law, especially the 1982 UN Convention on the Law of the Sea.
Regarding the relationship with Mozambique, Hoang expressed his hope that the two countries will beef up their multi-faceted cooperation, particularly in the areas of telecommunications, agriculture, trade, investment, education, health care, mining and expert exchange.
