The meeting between Minister of Public Security Gen. Luong Tam Quang and Choo Pin Ang, Managing Director of Government and Corporate Affairs for FedEx in Asia, Middle East, and Africa and Chairman of the Travel and Tourism Committee of the USABC in Hanoi on March 17

Quang highlighted the growing Vietnam – U.S. relationship over the past years, marked by the recent elevation to a comprehensive strategic partnership and the upcoming 30th anniversary of diplomatic ties this year.

The Vietnamese Ministry of Public Security is committed to supporting U.S. enterprises, including FedEx, to thrive in Vietnam, he stressed, adding that through various platforms like the USABC, the Vietnamese Government and his ministry always actively engage with the U.S. firms and value their input to ensure a transparent, stable, and sustainable investment climate.

The minister described the meeting as an invaluable opportunity to explore collaboration in the areas of shared interest such as aviation security, logistics infrastructure for aviation, and the modernization of Vietnam’s airports. These efforts, he said, will help bolster the safety and security of global supply chains.

In response, Ang reaffirmed FedEx’s wish to make long-term contributions to the development of Vietnam’s society and economy, including the transportation sector.

He pledged that the company will maintain effective operations at Vietnam’s airports while working closely with local authorities to identify new avenues for cooperation in the fields of common interest and FedEx's strength, helping elevate bilateral trade and deepen the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two nations.
