Thieu thanked the ambassador for his support to local infrastructure development, contributing to facilitating goods transportation between the two countries and within Vietnam.

Lang Son has a cooperative and friendly relationship with the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region of China. Both sides have regularly facilitated exchanges, cooperation and achieved positive results in various areas, especially in pandemic prevention and control, the economy, border trade and management, and more.

He said during the COVID-19 pandemic, the Chinese Embassy in Vietnam provided Lang Son with four batches of medical equipment and supplies worth over 10 million CNY (1.36 million USD). These items have been used economically and effectively.

The host wished that the Chinese diplomat would push for collaboration in not only health care but also other sectors.

Xiong Bo, for his part, said China’s major orientations and directions as well as socioeconomic development have contributed to nurturing cooperative ties between Lang Son and Chinese localities.

He also wished to offer further support to Lang Son’s health care development in the near future.

On the occasion, he handed over a batch of medical supplies and equipment provided by China to Lang Son.
