Among the pioneering contributors was Garment 10 Corporation – Joint Stock Company, which donated VND 300 million through Hanoi’s Red Cross Society. A company representative explained that this amount was raised from collective contributions by employees and staff to support the Cuban people in overcoming difficulties.

Duong Thi Hang, Vice Chairwoman of Hanoi’s Red Cross Society, expressed deep appreciation for the compassion shown by the employees of the company, who not only extended their solidarity and affection to the people of Cuba in general but also gave strong support to the program initiated by the city’s Red Cross in particular.

“This action carries profound meaning, reflecting the spirit of international solidarity, humanity, and social responsibility of the people in the capital toward international friends, especially the Cuban people, a nation that has given Vietnam great affection and valuable assistance both in the past and at present. All the contributions will be handed by Hanoi’s Red Cross Society to the Central Committee of the Vietnam Red Cross Society,” she said.

In addition, Hanoi’s Red Cross Society, in coordination with the Hanoi Municipal Department of Tourism, has set up promotional stands at cultural festivals across the city to raise awareness and encourage support for the Cuban people during the “65 Years of Vietnam – Cuba Solidarity” program.

Looking ahead, Hanoi’s Red Cross Society will continue to strengthen communication and mobilize social resources to expand humanitarian activities, spread the noble values of the Red Cross movement, and contribute to building Hanoi into a city rich in compassion and solidarity.
