Amidst the growing Vietnam-Netherlands relations, the visit is an important event marking a new stride in bilateral ties. It is also an occasion for the two countries’ leaders to discuss measures to enhance collaboration in politics-diplomacy and trade-investment and intensify existing cooperation frameworks, especially the strategic partnership on climate change adaptation – water management and on sustainable agriculture – food security.
This is PM Rutte’s second visit to the Southeast Asian nation after his first in 2014.
