Cultural exchange marks anniversary of Vietnamese Consulate General in Fukuoka
An exchange to introduce traditions and culture of Vietnam has been held in Fukuoka city of Japan as part of activities to mark the 10th anniversary of the Vietnamese Consulate General in the city.

More than 100 delegates gathered together at the event which lasts from August 31 to September 2 to enjoy Vietnamese tea and coffee, and learn about traditional musical instruments and art genres of the Southeast Asian nation.
The exchange also included an Ao dai (long dress) show and an exhibition featuring photos, ceramic products and documents on Vietnam and cooperation activities between Vietnam and Kyushu area of Japan.
The number of Vietnamese people in Fukuoka has increased to 14,000 from only 660 in 2009. The establishment of the Vietnamese Consulate General has contributed to further strengthening the Vietnam-Japan friendship and solidarity.
