The meetings took place within the framework of Party General Secretary and State President To Lam’s state visit to Mongolia.

Trung emphasised the significance of Lam's visit to Mongolia, coinciding with the 70th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic relations. He highlighted the upgrade in relations between the two countries to a comprehensive partnership that elevates ties to a new height.

Cooperation between the CPV and Mongolia’s political parties has played an important role in the development of bilateral relations, he said, affirming that Vietnam values and wishes to continue strengthening its relationship with Mongolia. He also proposed several measures to further enhance cooperation between the CPV and the political parties of Mongolia.

Appreciating the top Vietnamese leader’s state visit, the hosts affirmed the importance of Mongolia-Vietnam relations, as well as their support for the development of bilateral ties. They also agreed on the expansion and improvement of the efficiency of cooperation with the CPV.

On this occasion, Trung and Yangug Sodbaatar signed a memorandum of understanding on collaboration between the two parties for the new period.
