Present at the festivities were Vo Van Thuong,
Politburo member, member of the Secretariat of the Party Central Committee
(PCC) and Head of the PCC’s Commission for Information and Education;
Lieutenant General Pham Hong Huong, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the
Vietnam People’s Army; Le Hoai Trung, member of the Party Central Committee,
Deputy Foreign Minister as well as foreign ambassadors to Vietnam, heads of
diplomatic missions and international organizations in Hanoi, representatives
from press agencies and Chinese nationals who are studying and working
in Vietnam.

Addressing the event, Chinese Ambassador recalled the
development of the country over the past 68 years and confirmed that China is
pursuing the policy of peaceful development with its own identity and has actively
contributed to peace and stability in the region and the rest of the world.
Regarding the ties between China and Vietnam, the Chinese ambassador affirmed that it has been further developing and expanding in all
aspects in a practical and comprehensive manner.
He stated his belief that the Vietnam-China comprehensive
strategic partnership will be further enhanced and emphasized that the two
socialist countries, under the sound leadership of the Communist Parties, will
absolutely gain achievements in economic reform and development.
Congratulating the Chinese people on their great
achievements in national construction and development for nearly seven
decades, Mr. Vo Van Thuong believed they would achieve more exemplary results
and victoriously meet the goal of building China into a modern, wealthy, civilized
and harmonious socialist country.
On behalf of the Party, State and people of Vietnam, Thuong wished success to the 19th Chinese Party Congress. He
stressed that further reinforcing the neighboring, friendly ties and comprehensive
strategic partnership between Vietnam and China is suitable with the basic and
long-term benefits of the two peoples, contributing to peace, stability and
development in the region and the world.
“The Party and the State of Vietnam have always attached
much importance to boosting their long-lasting friendship and intensive
cooperation with the Party and the State of China and to healthily and stably
developing the relations between the two Parties and countries for the practical
benefits of the two countries, the region
and the world”, Thuong said.
