The article stressed that those are the highest-level visits by a Vietnamese leader to the region so far this year, and they carry additional significance as they coincide with important historical events, including the 60th founding anniversary of the Cuban Committee for Solidarity with South Vietnam, the 50th anniversary of Fidel Castro Ruz's first visit to Vietnam, the 50th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-Argentina diplomatic ties and the 30th anniversary of the Vietnam-Uruguay diplomatic ties.
Vietnam has so far established official diplomatic relations with all 33 countries in Latin America, demonstrating its policy of attaching importance to the development of ties with the region. According to the author, the visits will mark a new phase in strengthening political and legislative relations while opening up a new chapter in economic and trade ties between Vietnam and the Latin American region.

Opening the editorial, Juan Manuel Harán and Patricio Giusto asserted that the visit presents an opportunity for Argentine policymakers to analyze the sustainable economic growth achievements made by Vietnam over the past three decades, as well as to find solutions to development and integration issues based on Vietnam's experience.
The authors also hailed Vietnam as Argentina's sixth largest trade partner and the fifth largest export market in the world, as well as a key partner in South-South cooperation between Argentina and Southeast Asia and a gateway for entering the ASEAN market.
Talking with Vietnam News Agency before N.A. Vuong Dinh Hue’s visit to Argentina, journalist Gaston Fiorda, an expert on Southeast Asian affairs for the National Radio of Argentina, described Vietnam as an important partner of Argentina. According to him, leaders of this South American country attach importance to bilateral relations and consider Vietnam a priority for the development of relations in the Southeast Asia.
He spoke highly of mutual support of the two countries in dealing with the global challenges such as climate change, humanitarian assistance, COVID-19 prevention and control, and held that both sides have great potential to further enrich their cooperation for mutual benefits.
Apart from increasing trade in traditional sectors such as agriculture, electronics, leather and footwear, Fiorda highlighted opportunities for bilateral cooperation in producing lithium batteries for electric vehicles. Argentina has one of the largest lithium reserves in the world while Vietnam is considered a potential market for electric cars in the near future.
The journalist expressed his belief that the visit will be a success, contributing to further deepening comprehensive partnership between the two countries.
