60th anniversary of Vietnam-Cuba diplomatic ties observed in Hanoi
PANO – The Cuban Embassy in Vietnam hosted a banquet on November 26 in Hanoi to mark the 60th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-Cuba diplomatic ties (December 2) and the 64th founding anniversary of the Cuban Revolutionary Armed Forces (December 2).
The event was attended by Head of the Party Central Committee's (PCC) Mass Mobilization Commission and President of Vietnam-Cuba Friendship Association Truong Thi Mai, Minister of Construction Pham Hong Ha, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son, Deputy Chief of the General Staff Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Phuong Nam, and representatives from other ministries and agencies.

Speaking at the event, Cuban Ambassador to Vietnam Lianys Torres Rivera affirmed that the 60th anniversary of the establishment of Vietnam-Cuba diplomatic relations is an important milestone in the bilateral relationship and the faithful solidarity between Vietnam and Cuba. The relationship has been further consolidated even in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic.
For his part, Minister of Construction Pham Hong Ha expressed his strong belief that with a firm foundation of impartial political relations, the traditional friendship and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries will be strengthened and developed in the future.
