PANO - Zalo free messaging application announced on May 3rd that it has reached two million users.

According to Deputy General Director of VNG Company, Zalo aims to hit five million users, equivalent to half of all smart phone users in Vietnam, in the future.

Users highly praise Zalo for sending messages at high speed with stable quality. It allows users to send free voice and text messages, play games while chatting or share photos with friends. According to statistics, there is about 1.2 photos and an emoticon shared via Zalo every second and 15 million messages sent via Zalo everyday.

Besides Vietnam, Zalo is widely used in 18 countries around the world, including the US, Japan, Russia, China, and Germany.

At present, Zalo is experimenting with free voice calls and this service is expected to be operational next month.
