Vinacomin records highest growth in industrial sector in nine months
The Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industries Holding Corporation Limited (Vinacomin) recorded a high growth of 14 percent in the first nine months of 2019, the highest level in the industrial sector.
As of the end of September, Vinacomin produced 30 million tons of coal, up 2.1 million tons compared to the same period last year.
The group sold 33.41 million tons of coal, a year-on-year rise of 8 percent, and provided 26.48 million tons of coal for thermal power plants, up 23 percent.
Its revenue surpassed VND 98.4 trillion (USD 4.2 billion) in January-September, up 17 percent year-on-year.
This year, Vinacomin sets a goal of producing 40 million tons of coal and selling 42 million tons of coal.
The group strives to rake in VND 130 trillion (USD 5.6 billion) in revenue and contributed VND 17.8 trillion to the State budget.
