Accordingly, health workers, police and military troops, and volunteers working in concentrated quarantine facilities will be given free services that include 2GB high speed data/day, on-net calls lasting less than 20 minutes, and 50 minutes of off-net calls/month. This preferential package will be available until Vietnam announces the end of the pandemic.

For Viettel subscribers in concentrated quarantine areas, they will receive a 14-day preferential package including 3GB high speed data/day and all under 20 minutes on-calls free of charge.

Viettel branches in localities will contact the steering board of each concentrated quarantine facility to document anti-COVID-19 frontline forces and quarantined people and support them in service registration.

Besides, Viettel will offer calls free of charge to portal 19009095 which provides COVID-19-related information and to the citizen protection hotline +84 981848484 to support overseas Vietnamese in the fight against COVID-19.

Currently, the corporation has concentrated on improving its network quality near 178 concentrated quarantine areas in 54 cities and provinces nationwide to ensure smooth communications for its network users. It has also deployed forces to monitor the network and deal with any incidents in a timely manner.

Earlier, Viettel gave its subscribers free 3G/4G service while watching films and listening to music on the MyViettel app. and using teaching and learning services on the ViettelStudy online learning platform. Viettel offered free money transactions via ViettelPay app. and online contract signing via MyViettel to avoid direct contact amid the complicated developments of the COVID-19.

The telecom giant also encourages online payment, provides SIM cards, and gives advice to customers via MyViettel app.
