The International Forum on Economic Transition 2008 is to take place in Hanoi from April 2-3.
The forum will be jointly organised by the Central Institute for Economic Management (CIEM), China Institute for Reform and Development (CIRD) and the German Technology Co-operation (GTZ) following an agreement between CIRD and CIEM signed in January 2004.
The forum is held annually on the basis of similarities between Vietnam and China in economic transition and difficulties during the process.
The forum is aimed at speeding up the process of economic reforms as well as ensuring sustainability through dialogues and exchanges of experience.
