Reference exchange rate goes up at week’s beginning
The State Bank of Vietnam increased the daily reference exchange rate for VND/USD by 4 VND on the first day of the week (April 24) to 22,339 VND per USD.
With the current trading bank of +/-3 percent, the ceiling rate applied to commercial banks during the day is 22,989 VND and the floor rate 22,675 VND per USD.
The opening hour rates listed by commercial banks saw slight fluctuations.
Vietcombank raised both its rate by 5 VND to 22,680 VND (buying) and 22,750 VND (selling) per USD, compared to the final day of last week (April 21).
At Techcombank, the buying rate remained the same at 22,680 VND but the selling rate was down 10 VND to 22,750 VND per USD.
BIDV cut both its rates by 10 VND, listing the buying rate at 22,670 VND and the selling rate at 22,740 VND per USD.
