Reference exchange rate adjusted down at week’s beginning
The State Bank of Vietnam set the reference exchange rate at VND 22,448/USD on April 2, down VND 10 from the last day of previous week (March 30).
With the current trading band of +/- 3 percent, the ceiling rate applied to commercial banks during the day is VND 23,126/USD and the floor rate VND 21,782/USD.

The rates listed at commercial banks are also on the declining trend compared to March 30.
The opening hour rates at Vietcombank stood at VND 22,750/USD (buying) and VND 22,820/USD (selling), both down VND 15 from the rates on March 30.
BIDV also listed the buying rate at VND 22,750/USD (buying) and VND 22,820/USD (selling), down VND 20 both ways.
Vietinbank cut both the listed rates by VND 18, buying the greenback at VND 22,743/USD and selling at VND 22,813/USD.
