An agreement on “The program to put plants into quarantine” to export Vietnamese mango to New Zealand has been signed by the Department of Plant Protection, under Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, and New Zealand’s Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry.
Also, five other fruits, including dragon fruit, rambutan fruit, star apple fruit, longan, and grapefruit, as well as three kinds of flowers, including chrysanthemum, roses, and lilies, will possibly be exported to this market in the near future.
Mango exported to the New Zealand market need to match various requirements of growing areas or package and control technology by irradiation or steam.
