SEDBM 2025 proposed comprehensive and breakthrough solutions to enhance national competitiveness, strengthen confidence, and create new momentum for rapid and sustainable development. Building on the success of the seven previous editions, SEDBM 2025 brought together domestic and international scientists, global scholars, business leaders, managers, and policymakers.

The conference serves as a forum for knowledge exchange, presentation of new research, and discussion of practical issues. It also created opportunities for young researchers to present their ideas to leading experts, thereby strengthening academic-practical collaboration, spreading knowledge, and contributing to the sustainable development and integration of Vietnam’s economy in the new period.

Beyond academic exchange, the conference affirmed the determination to shape new development standards for frontier economies. The conclusions and insights from the event highlighted that the path toward sustainable development requires coordinated institutional reform, comprehensive digital transformation, and strengthening corporate governance based on ESG (Environmental - Social - Governance) standards.

More importantly, the meeting between researchers, policymakers, and the business community has built a unified knowledge foundation aimed at feasible solutions with direct impacts on national growth and competitiveness.

In this spirit, the conference not only offered new perspectives, but also laid the groundwork for strategic transformation, helping frontier economies move closer to a sustainable, modern, and deeply integrated future.

In an interview with the press regarding the conference’s contribution to policy advisory work for the Party and the State on sustainable economic development, Meritorious Teacher, Assoc. Prof., Dr. Nguyen Dao Tung, Director of the Academy of Finance, shared, “The Academy of Finance is one of the leading institutions advising the Party and the State in the fields of finance and accounting. We consider this a crucial mission, so we do not overly focus on research that merely follows models from other countries. What matters most is bringing these studies back to Vietnam so that our policies align more closely with international standards. From there, we identify Vietnam’s uniqueness to create the shortest and most effective pathway that meets the needs of the financial market, in line with the goal of building an international financial center in our country.”
