Especially, students also have chances to learn basic English words related to coffee. According to Ho Thi Giang, 14-year-old girl of the Van Kieu ethnic minority group in Xa Ry village, they grow up with coffee trees. Every day, they often go to the fields to help their parents take care of coffee trees and harvest coffee seeds. At the weekend, she and her friends often go to Pun hill to learn more about coffee in Mrs. Luong Ngoc Tram’s class.
In 2019, Mrs. Luong Ngoc Tram and her husband established Pun Coffee Co., Ltd. to produce high-quality coffee products, hoping to bring the Khe Sanh specialty coffee brand to domestic and foreign customers.
To realize that goal, the company has provided basic knowledge related to coffee to the locals. Meanwhile, it has also educated them to introduce products to customers, thereby the coffee class has been opened with 10 Van Kieu ethnic minority students, aged from 8 to 15.
She has visited each family to encourage their parents to allow the students to join the free-of-charge class. In the coming time, she is expected to open more similar classes to bring techniques to grow the specialty coffee trees so as to affirm the value of the Khe Sanh coffee brand.
In addition, the company will build a tourist site for visitors to experience Khe Sanh specialty coffee products on Ho Chi Minh Road, in combination with the organic coffee growing models to promote tourism potential in the locality.
