The Transportation Ministry has just passed the final report on a project to build Ben Luc – Long Thanh expressway to link Trung Luong Highway and Bien Hoa – Vung Tau road section, bypassing southern Ho Chi Minh City.

According to the project, US$ 1.6 billion will be invested in the road by the Vietnam Highway Development Company and it will extend 58 km in length.

This is considered an important road as it will connect a number of industrial zones, towns and seaports in Long An, Dong Nai and Ho Chi Minh City, improving the conditions for local socio-economic development in the future.

Before the project will start, it will be handed to the National Assembly for approval.
