The information was revealed by Australian Ambassador to Vietnam Andrew Goledzinowski on June 14.

According to the Australian diplomat, starting in Vietnam in 2012, the partnership will continue until 2026 with the financial capital up to AUD 95 million.

The partnership is designed to support Vietnam’s development agenda by providing information, analysis and technical assistance to support the Government of Vietnam to map out policies that are comprehensive and sustainable.

The extension of the partnership with the WB comes during the 50th anniversary of the bilateral relations between Australia and Vietnam and demonstrates the Australian Government’s ongoing commitment to Vietnamese people, according to Ambassador Andrew Goledzinowski.

He added that to realize Vietnam’s ambition to become a high-income country in 2045, the legislative reform process and strong governance continue to be essential and the Government of Australia is proud to be supporting this ambition in partnership with the WB.

WB Country Director for Vietnam Carolyn Tusk expressed thanks to Australia for making available this additional resource to enable Australia - WB strategic partnership to support Vietnam in its critical stage of development.
