Viettel to hire 500 IT engineers each year
PANO - In an effort to become a digital service provider, the Military Industry-Telecoms Group Viettel has planned to hire around 500 IT engineers each year.
According to the group, it pays engineers a starting salary of USD 1,000, 15 percent higher than the average salary offered in the sector.

Nguyen Thanh Nam, the company’s Deputy General Director, said, “Viettel has always been taking the lead in applying new technologies in the world; therefore, it has to constantly recruit personnel in new areas. At present, we are in need of personnel for big projects in Big Data, artificial intelligence (AI), aerospace technology, and applied mathematics. Working for Viettel, youngsters have the opportunity to become directors of product groups and Viettel offices in provinces and cities and aboard after only one year.”
According to the latest study by jobs company Anphabe and market research company Intage, Viettel is one of the best places to work in Vietnam’s IT sector. It seeks to become a leader of the digital transformation process in Vietnam, and has poured a lot of money into products, services, and solutions required for e-government and smart cities.
